Cato established BackerSkeie in 2004 with the ambition to become a leading executive search company. His vision is to create value for our clients by enabling them to generate better leadership in their industries. As such, BackerSkeie became a leading community within Executive Search and Board Assessments in Norway. Cato also has extensive experience from media, communication and consulting services, where he held a variety of leadership positions, such as a CEO for a media company.

He earned his Master of Business and Economics degree at the University of Cologne in Germany. Cato is a native Norwegian speaker, and also speaks English and German fluently.
