Before joining BackerSkeie, Langholm had a long career in the IT and consulting industries, including as a partner at Accenture, director at a software company, division director at Norway’s largest IT operations company, and managing director of Cambridge Technology Partners in Norway.

Over the past decade, he has had a particular focus on assignments related to quality and security. With a background as a cryptographer from the Armed Forces, he has contributed to building and strengthening security organizations in several major enterprises, including Norges Bank, BaneNOR, and DNV – with a particular emphasis on cybersecurity.

Throughout his career, Langholm has completed more than 200 recruitments and developed a broad understanding of most functions within IT, quality, and security. He is a trusted advisor to some of Norway’s largest corporations and has an extensive network among leaders in the IT industry and key players in the security community, such as the PST, NSM, and the Armed Forces.

He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from NHH and has also studied mathematics, computer science, and philosophy at the University of Bergen. Langholm is also trained and has served as a cryptographer at the Armed Forces High Command, holding a “Top Secret” security clearance.

He is a certified user of several occupational psychology assessment tools.
