When you use our services, you trust us with your personal information. BackerSkeie care about protection and the respect of your privacy. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our services and the choices you have associated with that data.
BackerSkeie is the controller of the processing of your personal data which BackerSkeie receives directly from you and that BackerSkeie may process to third parties.
We will do all necessary requirements to comply with the current rules of personal privacy, such as entering into data processing agreements with subcontractors.
This privacy policy describes your rights regarding personal privacy and our responsibility to take care of your rights.
1. Legal basis of the processing
BackerSkeie AS´ legal basis for collecting and using the personal information described in this privacy policy depends on the personal data we collect and the specific context in which we collect it. BackerSkeie processes personal data on the basis of your consent and legitimate interests, not overridden by your rights. The legitimate interests are your opportunity to receive new and improved job offers.
2. The purpose of the processing
BackerSkeie use your personal data mainly in order to fulfill our contract obligations, and also to create relations to the best qualified candidates over a period of time.
3. Collection of personal data
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you:
Contact details, such as name, e-mail address, address and telephone number.
Information about education, work experience.
Preferences for future career.
4. How we collect personal data
It is voluntary to share personal data with BackerSkeie. BackerSkeie collects personal data directly from you through interference between you and our representatives and other electronic communication.
BackerSkeie may also collect personal data from other companies which you have shared personal information to, such as applications and curriculums.
5. Our subcontractors
BackerSkeie has different subcontractors to improve our services and give our customers the best results. Our subcontractors are Protekt IT, Microsoft, Visma Easycruit, Webcruiter, Assessio, and Invenias.
BackerSkeie collects applications, curriculums and other contact information from Visma Easycruit and Webcruiter which have been uploaded to the subcontractors by their users.
Microsoft and Protekt IT delivers our data systems, and have access to all personal data described in this Privacy Policy saved in our systems. They process personal data saved in our CRM system and our document libraries.
Assessio is a service for testing of candidates. The process test results from tests our candidates have taken.
Invenias is our system for customer relationship management (CRM). All personal data as described in this Pricacy Policy is processed in Invenias. Further information is available at https://www.invenias.com/privacy-notice/.
6. Your rights
BackerSkeie AS aims to take reasonable steps to allow you to correct, amend, delete, or limit the use of your Personal Data which is processed by BackerSkeie.
Regarding the lawfulness of the processing, you have the right to withdraw your consent and object to processing that rely on legitimate interests. Such inquires must contain details about the reason of the objection.
The personal data will be deleted when the purpose of the processing has ceased. Storage may be necessary for a longer period due to law or other binding restrictions from the authorities.
7. Security and protection of personal data
BackerSkeie AS will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your personal data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
Only a limited number of employees and subcontractors have access to your personal data.
8. Changes in the Privacy Policy
In order to correct mistakes and follow up legal and technical requirements, BackerSkeie may change the Privacy Policy from time to time.
Changes will be updated and posted on the website under “Privacy Policy”. If BackerSkeie needs to do changes in the Privacy Policy that are substantial, we will strive to inform you directly. If the purpose of the processing also changes, we will strive to collect new consents.
You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
9. Business transaction
If BackerSkeie AS is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

If you have any questions or concerns about BakerSkeies processing of personal data, or you wish to plead one or more of your privacy rights, you may contact our customer service. Please note that we may ask you to verify your identity before responding to such requests.
